News & MediaFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEDIA ADVISORY IMPORTANT COMMUNITY MEETING PLANNED FOR PROPOSED CONDOMINIUM DEVELOPMENT ON THE BEACH A significant waterfront development proposal has been submitted to the City of Toronto for the redevelopment of lands at 2 and 4 Neville Park Boulevard and 438 and 440 Lakefront Lane in the Beach. If approved, three existing single detached homes will be demolished and replaced by a 5-storey luxury condominium building fronting onto the beach between Neville Park Boulevard. and Munro Park Avenue. The developer’s proposal also includes a 4- storey townhouse on Neville Park Boulevard. A number of concerned Beach residents have formed the Beach Lakefront Neighbourhood Association Inc. (BLNA) to voice strong opposition to the proposed development. On Tuesday, September 25, 2007, the BLNA invites all Beach residents to attend a Community Meeting to learn more about the proposal and to discuss how to effectively respond to it and to discuss how to effectively respond to it and the possible threat to other Beach properties that its approval would cause.
